Outdoor Immersion Receives Support From the Kuehn Innovation Institute

July 27, 2026

Outdoor Immersion was recently featured by the Alfred A. Kuehn Innovation Institute for its work helping veterans rebuild physical, mental, spiritual, and social resilience.

In February 2025, the Institute awarded Outdoor Immersion a grant to support resilience-focused outdoor activities for veterans and members of the military community. These programs use hiking, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, cycling, shared meals, and other experiences to create opportunities for connection and personal growth.

The feature explains how each activity helps participants strengthen their bodies, find clarity in nature, reconnect with God’s creation, and develop friendships that extend beyond the trail or river.

Outdoor Immersion is grateful for the Kuehn Innovation Institute’s investment in this mission. Its support allows us to continue creating meaningful outdoor experiences that move veterans from isolation into a community where they can rediscover strength, purpose, and hope.
